Ethiopian Buddies

We were so thrilled to have our good friends Roxanne, Terry and their little guy Eric join us yesterday for a day at Castle Park for Levi's birthday.

Roxanne was a good mommy and remembered the camera.  I forgot:(  Aren't these two boy's just the cutest? 

Please continue to pray for this sweet family.  The adoption agency has located their little girl at an orphanage in the south and their court date has not been cancelled.  They are due to leave for Ethiopia the beginning of November and nothing has been settled yet.  Please pray that God would move mountains so this family could bring their little girl home.

Happy Birthday Levi!

Today our sweet boy turns 9! Happy Birthday Levi, I feel so proud and blessed to get to be your mommy.

Levi is growing into such a wonderful young man.  He is helpful, loving and kind.  He loves his siblings and they love him.  The teens are very protective of him.  In typical sibling fashion, the only ones allowed to be mean to him are his sibs, NO ONE ELSE.

This child loves animals.  Sometimes I wish we lived some where we could have chickens and small farm animals.  It is apparent that he is very comfortable around animals and is used to helping with them.

Here he is with the baby goat at the fair.  I didn't see one other child try and pick them up.  However, it seemed to be instinctive for Levi.  The lady running the petting zoo was impressed with how much Levi knew about her animals. 

When I look at how well Levi is doing and what a sweet boy he is my heart breaks for all the little boys left behind.  Girls are much more preferred and sought after in adoption than boys.  Let me tell you, all those people don't know what they are missing.  Little boys are such a blessing as well!!
